The BGood Program

Thousands of Dollars Raised & Free Gear for the Soldiers

BGood is the Brigade Quartermasters’ Corporate Giving Program. As a successful international corporation, Brigade is also a good citizen in supporting non-profit organizations as well as providing an avenue for supporting our deployed troops. The programs under BGood includes Goodies for the Good Guys, Gear for a Warrior, & umbrella support local community events, deployed troops and their families, and selected non-profits.

Goodies to the Good Guys -All of us at Brigade Quartermasters appreciate the tough job all the men and women serving our country are doing in this extraordinarily difficult and dangerous period. We initiated this project last year by inviting vendors to contribute any extra “goodies” they could spare for us to send to our Warriors in faraway places. Thousands and thousands of items were donated to us, plus our own continuous donations of gear to send to deploying and deployed personnel. We contributed the thousands of dollars of additional postage costs, including tens of thousands of “Defending Freedom” camo wristbands. Through this program, we’ve been able to bring a little light, boost morale, and surprise into an otherwise “day from hell”. The letters from the soldiers tell the story. With this collective effort, our service men, women and civilian contract personnel have had additional comfort knowing we DO NOT forget, and that we CARE and SUPPORT them everyday.

Smoky Mountain Knife Works “Knife for A Soldier” program
“Knife for A Soldier” is a program created by Kevin Pipes owner of Smoky Mountain Knife Works to honor a fallen Warrior and personal friend. Smoky allows their customers to purchase a selected series of knives or donate money toward the purchase of a knife to send to a Soldier. Brigade partnered with Smoky Mountain to package and ship the donated knives along with our outgoing APO or FPO orders. A letter with the name and address of the person(s) who donated it accompanies each knife. We have distributed many thousands of FREE knives over the past three years and the program continues to generate letters of thanks from soldiers in the field.

Defending Freedom
To date, Brigade has raised over $40,000 of non-profit funds through the sale of the Defending Freedom Wristband. Defending Freedom is an organization started by Phil Randazzo to raise money to assist our troops, their families, the wounded and other charities. With our help, his organization has shipped thousands of boxes of Girl Scout cookies, raised money for AnySoldier.com, Fisher House, and many other Military charities. NEW! Gear for a Warrior Program
Inspired by the Goodies to the Good Guys Program, the Gear for a Warrior program allows customers to donate specific products and/or money to troops overseas to show their support for our "Warriors". To read more about this program or to make a donation, please click here.

Customer Giving Program Overview
Many of our customers share our desire to support the Troops and have asked for the right donation channels. We have selected the following programs to support, although the Red Cross, USO and other organizations also provide many services needed by service members and dependents:

AnySoldier.com
Any Soldier helps nearly 100,000 American soldiers in all branches of the military, both active duty and reservists, and has become one of the leading efforts in making sure the men and women who have been deployed for the war are cared for, via letters and packages from “home.”

AnySoldier.com features emails from different military personnel regarding the type of support needed in the field. The support could be in the form of a simple letter or package, or it could toiletries, food or even newspapers and magazines. Donors address their letters and packages to the writer’s name, but also add the words “ATTN: Any Soldier” on the second line. The writer shares the mail with fellow servicemen and women. If there is “Any Soldier” who is not receiving a lot of mail from home, that soldier will be the first person to receive the letter.
